Mel & Kevin: short, sweet and untraditional.

Here are a few images from Mel & Kevin's intimate wedding day.  I was pretty stoked that Mel wore a bird cage veil and the fact that her shoes were just as outgoing and cool as she is!  It was a gorgeous day and our experience at our location setting for formals was one that I'll never forget (inside joke).  I'm really happy I had the opportunity to work with this lovely couple!

Lia turns 1!

Lia and family met us at the beach for an evening sunset session.  It was so fun to watch her explore the beach and discover that sea shells and sand are not ediible.  Despite the swarm of nats attacking us all, we had a good time getting Lia to work the camera with her cute little faces!!!!  It's so nice to photograph milestones and I'm always grateful to be a part of it!!! I love this little girl!

The luck of the anniversary.

On the day of our anniversary we decided to go wherever the wind blew us.  So we ended up heading towards P-town.  It started off great.....us reminiscing about how we began, our wedding and what we've accomplished together.  We made a quick stop at Truro Vineyards for a wine tasting and some relaxation on their lawn.  Shortly after, our beautiful anniversary took a turn and our car broke down before we hit P-town.  After finding out that a tow truck wouldn't arrive for two and half hours, we took it upon ourselves to hike our way to the town for our anniversary dinner.  It was a nice sweaty 2 mile walk.  Sweaty because it was a warm, sunny day and also because our windows wouldn't shut, so we lugged around our valuables.  The only thing we could do was laugh about the situation, and treat ourselves to lobster rolls and ice cream.  We put aside the fact that our car needed a brand new alternator and that we would sit in about 3 hours traffic to get home.  We could of started cursing the world and sulked for the rest of the day, but we smiled through it and decided that this would be one anniversary we'll always remember.  This is what love is.....it's simply having a good time no matter what.
