McLean turns one.

I can't say enough about this gorgeous family. This was McLean's third photo shoot and he's much faster on his feet than on his hands and knees!!  I'm still in love with his one great big giant dimple. He's got his mom and dad wrapped around his chubby little finger!!!

Noah turns one!

Wow, I can't believe that our nephew is one already!!  He's just the sweetest little guy with his green eyes and red hair!!  He has some awesome parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles (ehhhhh hemmmm....Bobby and I), and a pretty cool cousin that is learning how to share with him!  Noah actually came up with all of these poses himself.  We tried positioning him one way, but he absolutely insisted that he stay on the wall with his one arm up, and he thought it was much cooler to sit on a chair sideways.  He's got a little mind of his own!!  Someday he'll be giving me great ideas on how to pose kids for their portraits.  I will gladly take his advice!

Thanks, Noah, for being a cute little nephew.  We all just love you!!!

Camden, Mommy and Daddy (doll)

What I love most about what has become of this photography business is that I've made some really good friends along the way.  It was only a little over a year ago that Camden came into the world and we were shooting his newborn portraits before his dad, Tommy, was deployed.  It took only until a couple months ago (when the weather turned warm to be exact) that Kasey (Camden's mommy) and I became close.  We've both found that our semi-conservative mothering is only just one of our commonalities and we've now become stay-at-home mommy adventuristas together; taking our boys to every park, zoo, beach and any other fun place we may think of.    Her family feels like they are distant relatives of mine.  Funny, how in just a few months you can feel so close to some people.  But, nothing will compete with the love and closeness of a mother, father and child.  It's amazing to see little Camden growing up and loving his daddy from afar!  They both cannot wait for Tommy to come home safe from Afghanistan!

Lia turns 1!

Lia and family met us at the beach for an evening sunset session.  It was so fun to watch her explore the beach and discover that sea shells and sand are not ediible.  Despite the swarm of nats attacking us all, we had a good time getting Lia to work the camera with her cute little faces!!!!  It's so nice to photograph milestones and I'm always grateful to be a part of it!!! I love this little girl!
