Big brother Landon shares some news.

Big brother!  Did I say big brother??  This is the official blog announcement that I am pregnant!  It was a busy 2012 fall season of gorgeous weddings that flew right into the holiday season, and then finding out that our family is going to have their second child.  I have been over-joyed with all my luck lately! I've been lucky to have such wonderful clients that kept me super busy making portraits and supporting this career that I love.  Now, I feel especially lucky to be growing our family with a new little one on the way this summer!  Landon is such an exciting part of this pregnancy asking questions about the baby and being a protective brother already!  The best part for Bobby and I is preparing Landon for what's to come and all the curiosity of his new sibling growing in my belly. He is full of compassion and adventure and we know that he will be one awesome big brother!

Since this is the the first blog post of the year, I had to kick it off with this special news brought to you by my little boy in his coon hat.  He's here going on a wild cheese moose hunt (don't ask...it's just what I have to do for a photo shoot of him lately), to answer the big question:  Is it a boy?  Or is it a girl?

So I'm officially out-numbered and we are all so so excited!!  I can't wait to share a house with three guys that love me!

Landon's Christmas 2010 pictures...

I look at these photos everyday since they are up in my kitchen.  These are some of my favorites of Landon.  He's was basically born into having a sweet tooth thanks to Bobby and I.  There was no question that letting a 17month old try to create a gingerbread house would put a giant smile on his face, and also leave my kitchen a complete disaster.  He still loves to make sweets, he still loves eating them, and he still makes a disaster.  I'm not lying about him liking to make a disaster.  Lately when I clean up after him, he'll stop me and say, "Mommy, no.  I like it really messy!", while dumping out the toys that I've just cleaned up.  It's crazy how a whole year sneaks up on you.  His little boy wonder is making our family even more excited about the holidays.  What should I have him do for his Christmas pictures this year??  Hmmmm....

Family Band.

While I'm working diligently in the office today, I hear my favorite band playing louder than my Pandora radio.  I love these two more than anyone knows.

October Air.

Landon loves to explore the outdoors and go on hikes. He's even attached to his LLBean hiking shoes and won't wear anything else but those. I had to buy him the same pair in a bigger size, but he also knows which ones are old and which are new. This is going to be tough when his feet grow a little. He's growing up to be the meticulous outdoors guy that his father is. He really missed his dad today. Bobby has been working extra long hours lately, and little Landon has been wanting to "go to Boston and work with Daddy". So cute. Gladly a hike with mommy, some fresh October air, and an M&M cookie kept his mind off missing Daddy for a little while.

Landon on a mushroom hunt, moving branches, trying to eat wild berries....

It's been a long time since I've blogged my son.  Yes, I do take pictures of him too often, but they end up sitting on my computer in untouched folders.  Tonight, I wanted to start putting an end to that.  I want to remember and document all the cute things he does, his inquisitive expressions, and his imagination.  He's recently been very adamant on hunting for mushrooms outside.  This has inevitably motivated Landon to eat mushrooms (not from our yard but from the store) for dinner twice this week.  We continued this afternoon doing his favorite things....collecting branches, examining worms and squishing bugs, listening to crickets and airplanes, and pretending to be farmers.  Playtime is the best time, especially with my favorite little buddy.

Our family of little boys.

I think my family will stop talking to me if I don't post these pictures of the kids from early this month.  Landon turned two and we did a quick fourth of July themed shoot for the family at his birthday bash.  Here are the winning shots from the day.  Happy summer everyone!!!!

Landon 16 months.

I've still managed to find time these days to photograph my son.  Although, its getting pretty tough to catch him outdoors since he loves to run really fast.  Also, every time I have my camera in hand he knows what I'm up to (giving him more reason to run away). So here he is at 16 months....sporting a bomber hat, exploring our front yard, and being a perfect little boy.  I love him.

Fine art prints coming this winter....

We are excited to share with all of our fans and followers that we have decided to launch a Fine Arts Gallery that will premiere January 2011. This project is largely due to our own personal interest as well as the requests we have received from all of you who are looking to have a piece of unique photography.  Our goal is to challenge ourselves in creating visually dramatic photography that will become an expressive piece of art for you to display in your own home.
