Almost every evening this summer I've been up anywhere from 1 til 3am hard at work. Then, I get to wake up a few hours later to my lovely little family up and awake, and ready for the day. I've never been a morning person (everyone close to me knows this), always a night owl. Another reason why this is a perfect career choice for me. This summer seems to be the busiest I've ever been and I've missed going to sleep at the same time as my husband. I've made my under-eye circles a deeper shade of purple, drank a little too much caffeine this summer, and I'm pretty sure my bottom is flatter from sitting in my office chair for hours. These are the only things I can possibly complain about though, and they are so trivial compared to all the other big problems and worries in the world. I'm still in love with taking pictures and capturing sweetness, and I'll never be tired of making portraits for people. I'll always have a special love for close-ups and serious faces because love isn't always happy laughs and smiles. So when I photograph, I try to capture all the depths of a couple: not only the laughter and smiles, but the safety and security they feel with one another, the comfort of being with your soul mate, the passion, and yes...the more serious side that love brings. Mostly, I love capturing the closeness. It moves me every time.
